Indiana desires to become the state of choice for growing up, raising families and working in good paying jobs. To achieve this goal, we must provide the best education to our youth and ensure a high quality of life in our communities. Science education has become a priority in Indiana's quest to become a high tech and scientific leader.
The new Terre Haute Children's Museum will fill this role by providing a rich environment for children to explore, test and create while nourishing their inquisitiveness, encouraging participatory learning and inspiring attitudes and career choices. The Museum will serve as a key component of science education for teachers and students, providing experiences with direct curriculum connections and offering a dramatic, engaging environment with resources and exhibits far beyond those available in a traditional classroom.
